The invention relates to a horizontal girth welding construction platform for a silo. The horizontal girth welding construction platform comprises a hanging basket and an operation platform arranged in the hanging basket. A rear enclosure frame of the hanging basket is a climbing ladder, the tops of left and right enclosure frames of the hanging basket are provided with lifting lugs, the upper portion of the hanging basket is provided with a left cantilever beam and a right cantilever beam which extend forwards, and the front ends of the left cantilever beam and the right cantilever beam are provided with walking wheel assemblies. Each walking wheel assembly comprises a connecting rack fixedly connected with the corresponding cantilever beam, wherein two walking wheels are installed in theconnecting rack, and the walking wheels are arranged at the upper edge of a silo steel plate. At least one walking wheel assembly is provided with a power assembly, the power assembly comprises driven gears and a driving gear, the driven gears are fixedly connected to the side faces of the walking wheels, and the driving gear is arranged between the two driven gears and engaged with the driven gears. The other end of a shaft rod of the driving gear is fixedly connected with a chain wheel, and a chain is installed on the chain wheel. The construction platform is small in area and low in manufacturing cost and can move along with the propulsion of silo welding, and the framework is safe and reliable.
