The invention discloses an electric supporting rod wave spring damper for an electric tail gate of an automobile. The electric supporting rod wave spring damper for the electric tail gate of the automobile comprises a shell and a shell cover; the shell and the shell cover are screwed to form an axial size-adjustable cavity through screw threads; a first static friction plate, a dynamic friction plate, a second static friction plate and a crest to crest wave spring are arranged in the cavity in sequence from the shell to the shell cover; the first static friction plate and the second static friction plate are locked relative to the radial circumferential direction of the shell; the shell cover applies pressure to the crest to crest wave spring in a screwing process of the screw threads; thecrest to crest wave spring generates compressing elastic force under the pressure; the dynamic friction plate is clamped by the first static friction plate and the second static friction plate underthe action of the compressing elastic force of the crest to crest wave spring; a spline connector used for connecting a power output shaft of the electric supporting rod and a screw rod of the electric supporting rod is also arranged in the cavity in a penetrating manner; the spline connector is locked relative to the radial circumferential position of the dynamic friction plate; and a stirring groove for stirring the shell cover to change the axial position thereof on the shell is formed in the shell cover. The wave spring damper can facilitate the adjustment of the resistance of the damper.
