The invention discloses an aerogel light mineral wool insulation board and a preparation method thereof. Aerogel is reinforced by utilizing a three-dimensional cross network structure of internal fibers of a mineral wool board, so that the problem of high brittleness of SiO2 aerogel can be effectively solved. By utilizing a TiO2-SiO2 aerogel nanoscale porous structure, the thermal insulation performance of the mineral wool board is improved, and meanwhile, the hydrophobicity of the mineral wool board is enhanced under the action of the hydrophobic surface of aerogel, so that a wide prospect isopened up for the application of the mineral wool board in building envelope structures.
