The invention discloses an anti-seepage structure and method suitable for plugging a mountain crack with a mine hole inside a mountain. The anti-seepage structure comprises a supporting layer, a hydrophobic material waterproof layer, a coarse sand water guide drainage layer and a soil covering layer which are sequentially arranged from the lower end of the mountain crack to the top, wherein the filling material of the supporting layer comprises a mixed filler prepared from cement, bentonite and sulfonated lignite according to a certain proportion, and the hydrophobic material waterproof layercomprises hydrophobic particles which are granular and uniform in particle size. According to the anti-seepage structure and method, through the arrangement of the four-layer structure, atmospheric precipitation and water flow can be effectively prevented from infiltrating into the mine hole through the crack, so that the generation amount of mine hole wastewater is remarkably reduced, and the influence of the mine hole on the surrounding environment is reduced.
