A water quality monitoring system for secondary water supply comprises a secondary water storage tank, a pipeline assembly, a user side and a control box used for controlling the whole system. A waterlevel detection module is assembled on the surface of the secondary water storage tank, comprises a first sensor, a through pipe and a second water level sensor, and is used for detecting the water level in the secondary water storage tank. A water quality detection module is arranged on the surface of a pipeline for communicating the secondary water storage tank with the pipeline assembly and comprises a water quality detector and a matched valve. According to the technical scheme, the water level detection module is designed on the surface of the secondary water storage tank, the communicating vessel principle is utilized, the water level in the secondary water storage tank is flush with the water level in a through pipe at the moment, the contact type and non-contact type water level sensors can work separately, pressure intensity information in the secondary water storage tank can be monitored, and the detection precision of the water level in the secondary water storage tank is also improved.
