The invention discloses a steel truss bridge damage detection device. The detection device comprises a moving device (2) arranged on a maintenance channel (1), wherein a log (3) is arranged on the moving device (2); a lifting device is arranged on the moving device (2); and a rotary disc (4) is arranged on the lifting device, a control panel (5) of the rotary disc (4) is arranged on the moving device (2), a cantilever beam (6) is arranged on the rotary disc (4), a balance weight (7) is arranged at the short arm end of the cantilever beam (6), a fixed seat (8) is arranged at the long arm end ofthe cantilever beam (6), and a photographing communication device and a laser detection device are arranged on the fixed seat (8). A large-scale bridge can be detected safely, efficiently and accurately.
