The invention provides a sand and dust prevention device for highway construction. The device comprises a bottom plate which is connected with a shell, and a supporting rod, wherein the side, away from the shell, of the bottom plate is connected with the supporting rod; the device further comprises a hollow cylinder, and the end part of the shell is connected with the hollow cylinder; the device further comprises a sliding rails, wherein one side of the hollow cylinder is connected with two sliding rails, and one sliding rail is connected with the supporting rod; the device further comprises amanual net drawing mechanism which is mounted on the hollow cylinder, a filter net which is connected with the manual net drawing mechanism, and an unfolding mechanism which is installed between thesliding rails. A mounting frame moves rightwards to pull out the filter net, wedge-shaped blocks are clamped into clamping grooves to fix the filter net, so that the filter net can prevent sand and dust, and the filter net can be fixed and prevented from being blown down by wind due to the arrangement of the hollow cylinder, the sliding rails and a fixing shaft frame; and a middle shaft rod rotates anticlockwise to wind the filter net back to the original shape, so that the filter net can be conveniently and repeatedly used.
