The invention relates to the technical field of parking lot management systems, and discloses an anti-collision mechanism for a parking lot barrier gate rod and application of the anti-collision mechanism. The anti-collision mechanism comprises a control box, wherein a short rod is movably connected to the back surface of the control box, a round nail is fixedly connected to the interior of the short rod, a long rod is arranged outside the round nail in a sleeving manner, and a first groove is formed in the short rod. According to the anti-collision mechanism for the parking lot barrier gate rod and the application of the anti-collision mechanism, when the barrier gate rod is transversely placed, due to the fact that the short rod and the long rod are movably connected through the round nail, the long rod can move front and back when being collided by vehicles, damage to the long rod after being collided is minimized, and the effect of preventing the vehicles from colliding with the barrier gate rod is achieved. When the barrier gate rod needs to be lifted, a positive electrode contact and a negative electrode contact make contact with a first metal rod and a second metal rod underthe action of gravity, so that the electromagnetic device is electrified, then the electromagnetic device attracts the limiting block to enter the first groove, and the effect of preventing the longrod from deviating during lifting is achieved.
