The invention provides a spherical steel support trolley for a retractable roof and relates to the technical field of steel-structure buildings. The spherical steel support trolley comprises a trolleyframe, wheel groups and a spherical steel support, wherein the wheel groups are mounted on two sides of the bottom of the trolley frame; the spherical steel support is mounted on the trolley frame, and comprises a connecting plate, a spherical support part and a jacking plate; the connecting plate is connected with the trolley frame; the spherical support part is mounted on the connecting plate;the jacking plate is mounted on the spherical support part and connected with the retractable roof; and the spherical steel support is designed to be fixed, unidirectional or elastic unidirectional, so as to meet different functional requirements. The spherical steel support trolley is reasonable in design, simple to manufacture and mount, and particularly applicable to various heavy-load retractable roofs.
