The invention relates to the technical field of offshore wind power operation, in particular to a mounting method of a barrel-type foundation. The mounting method comprises the steps that the barrel-type foundation is hoisted into water in a first area; the barrel-type foundation is drawn to a second area, wherein the water depth of the second area is smaller than that of the first area; and the barrel-type foundation is sunken to be mounted in the second area. Due to the fact that the water depth of the first area is large, the barrel-type foundation can be transported to the first area through a large barge, the barrel-type foundation is hoisted into water through a large floating crane, then the barrel-type foundation is drawn to the second area, and the barrel-type foundation is sunkento be mounted in the second area. The mounting method can be suitable for mounting of the barrel-type foundation in the place with the small water depth.
