A straddle type planar moving parking device comprises a storage channel and a pick-up channel. The storage channel internally comprises movable vehicle carrier plates 1 distributed along a rail 5, and the pick-up channel internally comprises a straddle type carrying vehicle 2 capable of moving horizontally along a rail 4. A to-be-stored vehicle carrier plate 1b lifted from a bottom layer exchangearea to a lifting table 3 on an upper layer exchange area is transversely moved and pushed into the storage channel for warehousing, the carrying vehicle 2 picks up a to-be-picked vehicle carrier plate 1a from the storage channel, moves the to-be-picked vehicle carrier plate 1a to the upper layer exchange area and descends the to-be-picked vehicle carrier plate 1a to the lifting table 3, and thenthe to-be-picked vehicle carrier plate 1a descends along with the lifting table 3 to the ground and is discharged. Because the to-be-stored vehicle carrier plate 1b in the lifted lifting table can bedirectly and transversely moved for warehousing, vehicle storage and pick-up can be independently carried out at the same time. Compared with the prior art, the device is high in storage and pick-upefficiency.
