The invention discloses a gypsum ceiling mounting assembly and method. The gypsum ceiling mounting assembly comprises a secondary keel and a hidden inserting and hanging piece; a clamping part extending outwards is arranged on the side face of the lower end of the secondary keel; the hidden inserting and hanging piece comprises a keel connecting part connected with the secondary keel and a board connecting part connected with a gypsum board; an external expanding opening structure is arranged on the top of the keel connecting part; a clamping groove matched with the clamping part of the secondary keel is arranged in the keel connecting part; the clamping groove is formed below the opening structure; the transverse size of the clamping groove is greater than that of the opening structure; the board connecting part is positioned under the keel connecting part and comprises a vertical mounting part and two hanging parts; and the two hanging parts are positioned on the two sides of the vertical mounting part. The gypsum ceiling mounting assembly can simplify the ceiling mounting operation and can be linked between gypsum boards to enable a gypsum ceiling to form a unified uniformly stressed integrity.
