The invention relates to a hollow composite beam and a manufacturing method thereof. The composite beam is combined with concrete on the basis of a hollow steel framework, the steel framework comprises an upper flange plate, a lower flange plate, truss angle steel or steel bars in the middle and tie bars at the inner wall edges of the upper flange plate and the lower flange plate, through structural design, a steel framework stress component forms a stress steel structure whole, and poured concrete is restrained through a cavity formed by the steel framework to form a steel-coated concrete opening component. According to the beam and the method, a stress mechanism of the composite beam is similar to that of a steel structure component, the steel structure cavity restrains the concrete, axial force can be shared by the concrete, meanwhile, a steel plate can be restrained from buckling by the concrete to form a combined effect, steel structure sections of the whole composite beam all participate in stress, and the anti-seismic performance is superior to that of a traditional concrete-clad steel composite structure. The steel framework serves as a pouring template when the concrete ispoured, the trouble of extra formwork erection is eliminated, and the advantages of low steel consumption and good bearing capacity are achieved.
