The photovoltaic power generation type glass curtain wall unit comprises a glass plate installation frame, a plurality of vertical partition plates, a plurality of photovoltaic plate installation frames, a rotating assembly, a control processor, a photodetector, a clock device, and a power supply module for supplying power to the whole unit, the vertical partition plates are arranged equidistantly inside a glass installation frame, and the glass installation frame is divided into a plurality of glass plate installation areas. The rotating assembly comprises a rotating motor and a plurality of rotating shafts correspondingly welded to the upper sides and the lower sides of the photovoltaic plate installation frames, a plurality of rotating grooves are formed in the upper side and the lower side of the front part of the glass installation frame at equal intervals, the rotating shafts are correspondinglyinstalled in the rotating grooves, the photodetector is fixedly arranged on the front side of the top of the glass plate installation frame, and the photodetector and the rotating motor both communicate with the control processor. The photovoltaic power generation type glass curtain wall unit can determine whether to control the photovoltaic panel for light-receiving power generation or not according to a photometric value detected by the photodetector, so that a photovoltaic panel is protected under the severe environment.
