The invention relates to a stepped core shaft type composite material tower and a manufacturing process. A tower body (1) is a cone frustum-shaped hollow component and comprises an inner column body component (11), a middle column body component (12) and an outer column body component (13), wherein the inner column body component (11) is in a stepped cylinder shape and is formed by sequentially connecting a plurality of sections of hollow composite pipes (111) with different diameters in a sleeving mode; the hollow composite pipes (111) are made of glass fiber reinforced polyurethane resin; aconnecting ring (112) is arranged between every two hollow composite pipes (111) connected in a sleeving mode; an annular bonding cavity (114) is filled with polyurethane structural adhesive; the middle column body component (12) is arranged on the outer surface of the inner column body component (11); and the outer column body component (13) is arranged on the outer surface of the middle column body component (12). The stepped core shaft type composite material tower is simple and novel in structure, high in mechanical strength, not prone to breakage, simple in production process, high in production efficiency and low in production cost.
