The invention discloses a self-propelled soil compacting device which comprises a main box body, wherein a sliding cavity is formed in the main box body, a weight shaft advancing cavity communicates to the lower side of the sliding cavity, a weight cavity opened downward communicates to the lower side of the weight shaft advancing cavity, two weight moving boxes symmetrical front and back are in slidably fit connection to the lower end wall of the sliding cavity, an advancing motor fixedly connected to the main box body is arranged on the upper side of the sliding cavity, a motor fixedly connected to the main box body and located on the right side of the advancing motor is arranged on the upper side of the sliding cavity, and the lower end surface of the motor are fixedly connected to a motor shaft. Double soil compacting weights work alternately. The device advances while compacts soil. Auxiliary wheels on two sides of the device can keep the device to operate stably. The device is provided with an automatic uneven road induction mechanism. When the land leveling effect cannot be achieved by operation at one time, the device can compact soil repeatedly till the ground is level.
