The invention discloses a rock wool insulation board and a preparation method thereof. The board is characterized by comprising a plurality of rows of rock wool strips which are spliced side by side,wherein at least one rock wool strip exists in each row, the plurality of rows of side-by-side spliced rock wool strips form a rock wool insulation board body, and the upper and lower surfaces and thetwo side surfaces of the rock wool insulation board body are integrally clad in a fiber material layer in a side-by-side extension direction of the plurality of rows of side-by-side spliced rock woolstrips. The board has the advantages that the production efficiency is improved, the size of the board can be flexibly adjusted, and the requirements for wind load resistance and drawing resistance can further be met.
