The invention discloses a rear-mounted keel frame for a curtain wall system. The rear-mounted keel frame comprises a plurality of vertical keels, a plurality of transverse keels and a plurality of supporting connecting pieces, wherein the vertical keels are sequentially mounted on a building body at intervals; the supporting connecting pieces are fixedly mounted on the side walls of the corresponding vertical keels and extend out of the outlines of the vertical keels to form supporting parts used for supporting a curtain wall plate; and the two ends of each transverse keel and the supporting connecting pieces at the corresponding positions are connected in an inserted mode and locked. The keel frame has the advantages of being stable and reliable in structure, low in cost, convenient to mount and capable of improving mounting quality and mounting efficiency.
