The invention discloses a production method of a flame-retardant board. The defect of inflammability of a board is overcome, and a flame-retardant function of the board is achieved. The method comprises the following steps of (1) selecting wood of the same species, drying the wood until the water content of the wood is less than or equal to 15%, and rotationally cutting the wood into veneers of the same size; (2) performing carbonizing treatment at 200 DEG C to obtain the veneer with the water content less than or equal to 5%, impregnating the veneer with a flame retardant, and drying the veneer; and (3) sequentially superposing the veneers, coating flame-retardant glue between every two veneers, vertically placing grains of every two adjacent veneers, and carrying out compression moldingto obtain the flame-retardant board.
