The invention discloses a shopping cart lock and a shopping cart provided with the same, wherein the shopping cart lock comprises a lock housing and a locking mechanism. The lock housing comprises anaccommodation groove and a hanging part located in the accommodation groove. The accommodation groove is provided with a first opened side which is opened upward along a vertical direction and a second opened side which is opened toward one side along a horizontal direction; the hanging part is configured to hang a locked part from the first opened side to the hanging part; the locking mechanism is arranged in the lock housing and can be switched between a locked state and an unlocked state; when the locking mechanism is in the unlocked state, the locking mechanism releases the locked part toallow the locked part from being separated from the hanging part. When the locked part is hung to the hanging part from the first opened side, the locked part forces the locking mechanism to be switched from the unlocked state to the locked state, so that the locking mechanism locks and fixes the locked part to further limit the locked part from being separated from the hanging part. The shoppingcart lock provided by the embodiment of the invention can be locked by a one-hand operation which is simple and convenient, and is higher in reliability.
