The invention discloses a high-strength gypsum cementing material based on anhydrite and desulfurized beta powder and a preparation method of the high-strength gypsum cementing material. The high-strength gypsum cementing material comprises the following raw material components in parts by weight: 60-70 parts of high-strength gypsum, 5-35 parts of anhydrite and 5-35 parts of desulfurized beta powder. Herein, anhydrite and the desulfurized beta powder which are low in cost are doped, and other heating and pressurizing additional high-cost technologies are avoided, and therefore powder good in performance can be obtained; the mechanical property of the high-strength gypsum cementing material meets the conditions that the breaking strength is larger than or equal to 5.0 MPa in 2h and the drying compressive strength is larger than or equal to 40.0 MPa; therefore, the stockpiling condition of natural anhydrite and industrial byproduct phosphogypsum is relieved to a great extent, and the continuous utilization of resources is fully realized.
