The invention discloses a gate for a water conservancy channel. The gate structurally comprises a frame, a gate body and a spiral rotary disc, the gate body is clamped to the inner end of the frame, the spiral rotary disc is arranged in the middle of the top of the frame and movably matched with the gate body, the gate body comprises a sliding groove, a door body and a threaded rod, and the door body comprises a guide groove, an overturning groove, an overturning plate and an overturning device. The overturning device comprises a contact block, a pressing rod, a reset spring and an overturningblock, the contact block comprises a rotating shaft, concave teeth and a convex block, the reset spring is used for ejecting the contact block outwards, so that the contact block makes close contactwith the sliding groove, the door body moves upwards when the gate body is opened, the contact block can turn over downwards under the action of friction force between the contact block and the sliding groove, the pressing rod drives the overturning plate to overturn, so that the overturning groove is opened, water flow drives the downstream of a sediment net channel to flow, the pressure borne bythe gate body is reduced, and a worker can easily open the gate body.
