The invention discloses a vehicle height exceeding collision prevention device for bridges and tunnels, which comprises a road surface, wherein a first column body and a second column body which are vertically arranged are symmetrically and fixedly connected to the left side and the right side of the road surface; the side wall of the upper end of the second column body is fixedly connected with afirst wire guide wheel; a third column body is fixedly connected to the road surface on the same side of the second column body; a mounting frame is fixedly connected to the side wall of the upper end of the third column body; a second wire guide wheel is fixedly connected to the bottom of the mounting frame; a mounting seat is fixedly arranged on one side of the third column body; a mounting block is welded to the upper end of the mounting seat; a rotating seat is fixedly mounted at the upper end of the mounting block; and a brake bar is rotatably connected to the upper end of the rotating seat. Compared with the prior art, the height-exceeding vehicle can be monitored and stopped, so that the bridge and the tunnel are protected, the bridge and the tunnel are prevented from being scratched and impacted to be damaged, the safety of vehicle passengers is higher, the influence on traffic is smaller, and the use is more convenient.
