The invention discloses an intercepting groove unit and an intercepting ditch structure of a side slope. The intercepting groove unit comprises a groove body, a first wing plate, a second wing plate and a shielding plate, wherein the groove body is provided with drainage parts for collecting water flow in a forming mode; the first wing plate is connected to the side, located in the uphill direction of the side slope, of the groove body, and the second wing plate is connected to the side, located in the downhill direction of the side slope, of the groove body; and the shielding plate is connected to the side, away from the groove body, of the second wing plate, arranged in the mode of forming a preset included angle with the second wing plate and extends in the downhill direction of the side slope. According to the intercepting ditch structure, the end parts of every two adjacent intercepting groove units are mutually spliced, so that all the drainage parts communicate; and according tothe intercepting groove unit and the intercepting ditch structure of the side slope, infiltration of water can be effectively reduced, so that the stability of the side slope is improved, and the field construction time of the intercepting ditch structure is saved.
