The invention discloses a tree root type basement. The tree root type basement comprises at least two basement units located under an upper-layer building, a connecting layer between any two adjacentbasement units is a natural soil layer, and the basement units comprise basement bodies of a multi-layer structure and anti-seepage structures surrounding the side walls and bottom plates of the basement bodies. According to the tree root type basement, the basement is divided into a plurality of small basement units occupying smaller area in a partition mode, the basement units are located underthe upper-layer building, the natural soil layer is arranged among the basement units, the basement units are connected with the upper-layer building and a traffic core, the functions of the basementinclude but are not limited to an equipment room and a stereo garage. By the adoption of the root type basement, the soil layer around the building can give full play to the permeation effect and themoisturizing effect, the direct surface runoff path around the building is shortened, runoff pollution is reduced, and the pressure of a drainage pipe network in an urban core area is effectively reduced.
