The invention relates to the technical field of rainwater collection and irrigation, in particular to a method for collecting rainwater for irrigation. The method comprises the following steps of connecting a return pipeline to communicate a water collection chamber with a water collection tower; enabling the water collection chamber to collect the rainwater immersed underground through a plurality of rainwater collecting pipelines; pumping the rainwater in the water collection chamber into the water collection tower through a first water suction pump; enabling the rainwater pumped by the first water pump to flow into the bottom of the water collection tower through a filtering layer under the action of gravity; driving spiral blades to rotate by impact of water flow when the rainwater flows into the bottom of the water collection tower due to gravity; stirring the rainwater in the water collection tower through rotation of the spiral blades, so that the rainwater rotates along with the spiral blades and is sprayed out through water spraying holes under the action of centrifugal force; and starting a second water suction pump, so that the rainwater in the water collection tower flows back into the water collection chamber in an accelerated manner, and the problems that the collected rainwater is not filtered thoroughly and a spraying device is easy to block in the prior art aresolved.
