The invention relates to the field of open cut underground engineering, in particular to an underground water drainage ecological protection system and a construction method. According to the system,holes are formed in supporting structures at the two sides of an underground structure correspondingly, then the holes in the two sides communicate with each other through a groove, a water seepage structure is laid in the groove, and a drainage channel is formed, so that underground water on the two sides of the supporting structures cannot be blocked. The system solves the problem that the underground structure blocks flowing of an underground water system, improves ecological benefits, and guarantees balance of an urban underground water system.
