The invention discloses a protective structure for an underground structure and a construction method of the protective structure. The protective structure comprises concrete pile foundations, concrete cover beams, a box beam and a damping noise-reducing layer, wherein the concrete pile foundations are longitudinally distributed at the two sides of the underground structure; the concrete cover beams are transversely arranged on the tops of the concrete pile foundations; the two ends of the box beam are separately connected to the concrete cover beams at the two sides of the underground structure; sheathing earth or a road paving layer is arranged on the top of the box beam; an area, across the underground structure, on the bottom of the box beam is filled with backfilled earth; and the damping noise-reducing layer is paved between the box beam and the sheathing earth or between the box beam and the road paving layer. The protective structure can bear pressure of additional load or additional earth body on the upper part of the underground structure, so that load increased by the backfilled earth, traffic and the like is not directly transmitted to the underground structure, and therefore, the underground structure is effectively protected.
