The invention provides a simple method for manually dismounting a brick chimney. The simple method comprises the steps that firstly, the bottom of the to-be-dismounted brick chimney 2 is used as the benchmark, and brick chimneys 3 to be equally divided and dismounted are formed within the range that the measuring height is 1 m; secondly, the brick chimneys 3 to be equally divided and dismounted are manually dismounted after being equally divided, specifically, after chiseling of one equally-divided brick setting is completed, supporting wood piles 4 are adopted for supporting, and the brick settings obtained after equal division are sequentially operated till all the brick chimneys 3 to be equally divided and dismounted are dismounted; and thirdly, inflammable matter is poured on the supporting wood piles 4, ignition is carried out to combust the supporting wood piles 4, the supporting wood piles 4 are away from the brick chimney, and the distance needs to be larger than 2 times of theheight of the chimney. The method is simple and convenient to operate, low in cost and economical and applicable, the danger brought by the operation that common dismounting methods need aerial workcan be avoided, the collapsing direction of the brick chimney can be decided by adjusting the supporting positions of the wood piles, and therefore unnecessary losses are prevented from being caused to surrounding buildings and life and property.
