The invention discloses a coral aggregate and a low-cost modification method thereof. The low-cost modification method comprises the following steps: (1) weighing the coral aggregate; (2) putting thecoral aggregate into a slag solution, and conducting soaking, fishing out and draining; (3) uniformly mixing and stirring the drained coral aggregate with a water glass solution; and (4) fishing out the coral aggregate, and conducting airing to obtain the modified coral aggregate. The method is low in cost and easy and convenient to operate, the porosity and water absorption of the coral aggregateare reduced to a great extent, and the mechanical property and working performance of the coral aggregate can be greatly improved. Under the conditions of the same material, mixing ratio and mixing,the modified coral aggregate is used for preparing concrete, so that the compressive strength and breaking strength of the all-coral concrete can be greatly improved, and the application scene of theall-coral concrete is expanded.
