The invention discloses a novel environment-friendly building material and a preparation method thereof. The novel environment-friendly building material comprises the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 51.3%-55.3% of construction waste particles, 20%-24% of fly ash, 21.38%-25.38% of water, 0.13%-0.53% of polymer resin, 0.46%-0.86% of emulsion and 0.13%-0.53% of polyvinyl alcohol. According to the novel environment-friendly building material and the manufacturing method thereof, the building waste is used as a basic raw material, the cost is low, the finished product is similar to traditional mortar, the bonding strength is high, the water resistance is good, water resistance, acid resistance and alkali resistance are achieved, the novel environment-friendly building materialis an ideal updating product of the building material and implementation of a new building process is facilitated. The materials obtained by recycling the building waste is solid-state slurry, so that the occupation of the construction waste on the environment is improved and the healthy development of cities is facilitated.
