The present invention discloses a lighting device for a construction site. The device comprises an installation rod, a plurality of lighting mechanisms are installed on the outer side of the installation rod in a staggered mode, and each lighting mechanism comprises a lamp pole rotationally connected with the installation rod and a bulb arranged at the top end of the lamp pole; a control mechanismfor controlling the opening and closing of the lighting mechanism is arranged in the mounting rod; the control mechanism comprises an incomplete gear arranged at the bottom of the lamp post and a transmission block meshed with the incomplete gear; a push shaft used for controlling the transmission block to ascend and descend is arranged below the transmission block, the bottom of the push shaft is connected with the installation rod in a sliding mode to form a closed space, the closed space is communicated with an air pump arranged on one side of the installation rod through a hose, and a containing groove matched with a bulb in size is further formed in the side wall of the installation rod. Compared with a traditional lighting mechanism, the device can quickly control the lighting height and the lighting angle, and the practicability is higher.
