The invention discloses a novel asphalt mixture for pavement construction. The novel asphalt mixture is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 3 to 8 percent of rock asphalt modified asphalt, 4 to 6 percent of mineral, 82 to 90.7 percent of aggregate, 0.3 to 1 percent of a coupling agent and 2 to 3 percent of a filler, the rock asphalt modified asphalt is prepared fromrock asphalt, matrix asphalt, a stabilizer and nano vitrified micro bubbles, the percentage content of the rock asphalt in the rock asphalt modified asphalt is 3-5%, the percentage content of the matrix asphalt in the rock asphalt modified asphalt is 87.2-92.8%, the percentage content of the stabilizer in the rock asphalt modified asphalt is 0.2-0.8%, and the percentage content of the nano vitrified micro bubbles in the rock asphalt modified asphalt is 4-7%. The invention aims to solve the problem that matrix asphalt is modified by utilizing the characteristics of rock asphalt, according to the modified asphalt and the preparation method thereof, the excellent properties of the modified asphalt and the nano glass beads are brought into full play, particularly the properties of the modifiedasphalt are further optimized by adding the nano glass beads, so that the modified asphalt not only has good stability and rut deformation resistance, but also has heat insulation and pavement heat absorption reduction capabilities.
