The invention discloses a novel expressway protective fence. The novel expressway protective fence comprises a stand column, corrugated steel plates, an energy absorption box and fasteners. The energyabsorption box is welded and fixed to the side face of the stand column, a plurality of first connecting holes are distributed in the face, away from the stand column, of the energy absorption box ina vertical direction, and the first connecting holes are round holes. Each corrugated steel plate is provided with wave crests protruding outwards and wave troughs recessed inwards. The troughs are plane plates, a plurality of second connecting holes are symmetrically formed in the two ends of each corrugated steel plate, each second connecting hole corresponds to one trough, the second connecting holes in the adjacent ends of the two corrugated steel plates coincide with each other, and the first connecting holes and the second connecting holes are the same in number and correspond in position; each fastener comprises a bolt and a nut, and the bolt penetrates through the second connecting hole in the overlapping position of the corrugated steel plate and the first connecting hole in theenergy absorption box and then is in threaded connection with the nut. Compared with the prior art, the novel expressway protective fence is better in buffering effect, and casualties can be avoided as much as possible.
