The invention relates to an external locking module of a motor vehicle door lock, which comprises a knob and a transmission arm which are arranged between an upper shell and a lower shell, and is characterized in that the knob is used as a torsion driving piece for external opening and is rotationally supported between the upper shell and the lower shell, the outer end of the knob is provided witha torsion opening insertion hole, and the inner end of the knob is linked with the transmission arm through a stand column; the transmission arm serves as a driven part of the knob and is slidably installed between the upper shell and the lower shell, the inner end of the transmission arm is provided with a long groove inserted into the stand column, and the outer end of the transmission arm is used for driving the lock body to be locked and unlocked. By turning on the outer end of the knob, the stand column at the inner end of the knob slides in the long groove of the transmission arm, and meanwhile the rotary motion of the knob is converted into the linear motion of the transmission arm. The module is fewer in parts, simpler in structure, easier to manufacture and more suitable for a small structural space of the lock.
