The invention discloses a pavement marking device for road engineering construction. The pavement marking device comprises a shell mechanism, a sliding mechanism and a marking mechanism. The shell mechanism comprises a shell box body, rolling wheels, vertical sliding rods, a fixing plate, a vertical sliding plate, a first motor, a connecting cross beam, a fixing rod, an air cylinder, a driving shaft and a clamping groove; the sliding mechanism comprises a horizontal sliding plate, a fixing support, a supporting base plate, a driving wheel, a first conveying belt, a first pulley, a second pulley, a connecting shaft, an annular gear and a limiting base plate. The marking mechanism comprises a vertical connecting rod, a second motor, a marking wheel, a fixing box, a supporting plate, a rotating shaft, a second conveying belt and a marking head. The marking mechanism is mounted below the sliding mechanism, so that the marking mechanism is kept stable in the marking process, and the markinghead can be hidden after marking is finished, so that the marking head is protected conveniently and prevented from being damaged; the technical problem that the marking head is easy to damage due tothe fact that no protection measure is provided for the marking head is solved.
