The invention discloses a high-altitude horizontal subsection orbital transfer sliding installation method for a large-span steel truss. The method comprises the steps that sliding rails are divided into n+1 sections to be arranged, the sliding rails are arranged in a stepped mode from the large-span end to the small-span end of the truss, and when the truss is installed, the truss is sequentiallyinstalled from small to large according to the length of the truss; the truss with the minimum length is selected; a chord member of the truss is lengthened, so that the overall length of the truss is the same as the distance of the maximum span between two stand columns; the chord member of the truss is in sliding connection with the sliding rail with the maximum span; the truss is pushed to slide towards the small-span end of the sliding rail in the length direction of the sliding rail; when the truss moves to a transition section between the two sections of sliding rails, horizontal orbital transfer is completed, the end of the chord member of the truss is cut off, and the overall length of the truss is the same as the span distance between the next set of two stand columns; and the truss is moved to a preset installation position through a plurality of times of orbital transfer sliding. According to the method, a solution is provided for installation of a large-tonnage high-altitude non-parallel symmetric steel structure by a construction unit, and the construction difficulty and risk are reduced.
