The invention discloses a mounting structure and method for additionally mounting elevator derrick steel columns and wall glass fixing joints, and particularly relates to the technical field of elevator derrick steel column and wall glass fixing. The mounting structure comprises four pieces of tempered laminated glass mounted on a shaftway, and H-shaped steel columns are arranged between every twoadjacent pieces of tempered laminated glass; Z-shaped section steel is arranged on flanges of one sides of the tops of the H-shaped steel columns; and metal plates are arranged between the two piecesof tempered laminated glass, one ends of the metal plates are fixedly connected with the other ends of the H-shaped steel columns through first self-tapping screws, and L-shaped profiles are arrangedon flanges of the other sides of the bottom parts of the H-shaped steel columns. The H-shaped steel columns of an elevator derrick is connected with the tempered laminated glass through the Z-shapedsteel and the L-shaped profiles, then the Z-shaped steel, the L-shaped profiles and the tempered laminated glass are fixed through double-faced adhesive tape and structural adhesive, and the edges ofthe tempered laminated glass are pressed through metal covered edges, so that the connecting position is safer and more stable, on-site construction is facilitated, and the construction process is simplified.
