The invention relates to a micro-crosslinking mud-resistant polycarboxylate water-reducer and preparation method thereof. The preparation method mainly comprises the following steps: complexing Ce < 4+ > in ceric ammonium nitrate with an unsaturated small monomer to form a complexing intermediate, and generating unsaturated small monomer free radicals and Ce < 3 + > from the complexing intermediate; and adopting the unsaturated small monomer free radicals to initiate unsaturated polyether macromonomer and the unsaturated small monomer to carry out aqueous solution free radical copolymerization. Therefore, after the ammonium ceric nitrate is introduced, the unsaturated small monomers not only provide target solid groups adsorbed on cement particles, but also form an initiation system together with the ammonium ceric nitrate, and meanwhile, part of the unsaturated small monomers participating in initiation form bifunctional groups to form cross-linking monomers, so that a micro-cross-linking structure is introduced; due to the added steric hindrance, the water reducer has the properties of high water reduction, good slump loss resistance, good mud resistance and the like. The unsaturated small monomer in the synthesized polycarboxylate water-reducer has a target fixing effect, an initiating effect and a crosslinking effect at the same time, and one monomer has multiple purposes,so that the industrial process is simpler and more controllable, and the cost is lower.
