The invention discloses an electric vehicle charging device, a garage using the charging device and a charging method. The electric vehicle charging device comprises a charging seat which is arrangedin the garage, and further comprises a base and a charging adapter; the base is installed on an electric vehicle carrier; the charging adapter interacts with the base through magnetic force; the charging adapter has a first state of being attracted with the base and a second state of being separated from the base; and the charging adapter is provided with a charging plug matched with the chargingseat and a charging socket matched with an electric vehicle charger. The provided electric vehicle charging device is good in universality, good in safety and capable of conveniently charging an electric vehicle.
