The invention discloses a comprehensive utilization method of an arid valley erosion gully. The method comprises the following steps that stepped soil preparation is carried out on the side wall and the bottom of the arid valley erosion gully at intervals along the gully edge line of the erosion gully to form a strip-shaped terrace land; the edges of the strip-shaped terrace land are raised to form ridges; and different crops are selectively planted on the strip-shaped terrace land, drought-enduring and barren-enduring plants are planted on the strip-shaped terrace land at intervals, and a plant screen is formed. The strip-shaped terrace land, the ridges and the plant screen in the gulley can prevent soil and nutrient substances in the erosion gulley from being eroded and taken away. The method has great significance in reducing erosion of the side wall and the bottom of the erosion gulley, meanwhile, the intercepted runoff and sediment can also provide better conditions for crop planting, agricultural production can be promoted easily, and economic benefits can be improved easily.
