The invention discloses a planetary gear speed reducer. The planetary gear speed reducer comprises an annular gear ring, a sun wheel and a planetary gear support, wherein at least one planetary gear is placed on the planetary gear support; the planetary gear support is integrally formed by plastics, and the planetary gear is integrally formed; the planetary gear is connected to the planetary gearsupport through a metal shaft; and the planetary gear support axially extends on two sides corresponding to the metal shaft to form reinforcing cylinders respectively, and the metal shaft is insertedinto the reinforcing cylinders. The invention further discloses a pedestrian passageway gate provided with the planetary gear speed reducer to drive the gate to be opened and closed. The planetary gear speed reducer has the advantages that the power transmission rigidity can be guaranteed, and meanwhile the product machining cost is reduced.
