The invention relates to a metal plate for assisting operation vehicle construction, which comprises a splicing plate body, the splicing plate body is formed by splicing a plurality of plate body units, and each plate body unit is composed of a bearing part, a splicing tenon part, a splicing mortise part and a bolt. The invention further relates to a metal plate laying method for assisting the operation vehicle in construction. The metal plate laying method comprises the following steps that (1) the pit opening area and the pit depth of the pothole road surface are measured; (2) according to the area of the pithead, the area for laying the metal plate splicing plate body and the number of the supporting seats are selected; according to the pit depth, the height of each bearing seat is adjusted, and each bearing seat is arranged on the bottom surface of the pit; and (3) the adjusted bearing seats are covered with the spliced splicing plate bodies.
