The invention discloses a composite light partition board and a preparation method thereof. The composite light partition board comprises panels and a core material. The panels comprise a first paneland a second panel, the two surfaces of the first panel and the two surfaces of the second panel are all rough, the core material is arranged between the first panel and the second panel; the core material is bonded with the first panel and the second panel; the preparation method comprises the following production steps of 1, preparing the panels; and 2, preparing the partition board: putting theprepared first panel and second panel into a partition board mold, and then pouring the core material between the first panel and second panel. The composite light partition board formed by taking cement or calcium silicate boards as the panels and filling the light core material between the panels is high in strength, strong in impact resistance and strong in hanging force, has the characteristics of heat insulation, sound insulation, fire prevention, water prevention, easiness in cutting, convenience in assembling and the like, and has the advantages that resources and energy are saved, andno discharge of three wastes is realized.
