The invention discloses a safety protection device applied to water conservancy construction. The safety protection device comprises a plurality of placement plates. Through holes are formed in the placement plates, expansion bolts are inserted into the through holes in a penetrating manner, and expansion pipe parts of the expansion bolts are arranged underground. A movable groove is formed in oneside of the placement plates, a rack is rotationally arranged in the movable groove, and a first support frame is arranged on the rack. A gear is rotationally arranged in the first support frame andengaged with the rack. By controlling a forward and reverse rotation button of a forward and reverse rotation controller, a gear motor rotates forward and reversely, a workbench is driven to move upwards or downwards along the rack, a connecting shaft is rotationally borne through a bearing, the connecting shaft rotates stably, the gear motor is provided with a band-type brake system, and when thegear motor stops rotating, a rotor shaft of the gear motor is self-locked; and the rotor shaft of the gear motor stops rotating immediately, so that the inner walls of the reservoirs with different heights can be maintained conveniently, and the inner walls of the reservoirs can be maintained more safely by using the safety protection device.
