An automatic brick laying machine for building construction comprises a machine body; a brick laying device is arranged on the left side of the machine body; the brick laying device comprises a clamping cavity which is formed in the middle of the machine body and provided with a downward opening, lifting sliding grooves are formed in the clamping cavity in a front-back symmetrical and communicating mode, and lifting sliding blocks are arranged in the lifting sliding grooves in a sliding mode; a moving plate is fixedly arranged between the lifting sliding blocks on the front side and the rear side, sliding grooves with downward openings are symmetrically formed in the front side and the rear side of the moving plate, and a clamping motor is fixedly arranged between the sliding grooves in the front side and the rear side of the moving plate. Ground bricks are automatically laid through a machine, manual auxiliary operation is not needed, and the automation degree is high; the working efficiency is high, ground bricks are laid flatly, the ground brick laying time is greatly shortened, and the construction cost is reduced; cement is laid automatically, regularly and quantitatively, sothat unnecessary waste of the cement is reduced, labor force is liberated; reversing laying can be achieved.
