An outlet and an inlet of the fishway are respectively connected with an upstream reservoir and a downstream river channel; the adjusting tank comprises a bottom plate and a side wall; the side wall is provided with a adjusting tank inlet and a adjusting tank outlet, the adjusting tank inlet is connected with an inlet-section fishway body, and the adjusting tank outlet is connected with an outlet-section fishway body; an overflow weir is arranged on the side wall, a step energy dissipation structureis arranged on the outer side of the overflow weir, and the overflow weir enables redundant water in the adjusting tank to overflow out of the tank in a self-overflow mode; a step is arranged at an inlet of the adjusting tank, and the top of the step is smoothly connected with the inlet-section fishway body and is higher than the bottom elevation of the adjusting tank; and the adjusting tank is configured to have a certain dead water level, the top of the step is lower than the top of the overflow weir, and a certain height difference is formed between the top of the step and the top of the overflow weir. According to the flow adjusting tank and the fishway, part of water in the fishway freely overflows through the overflow weir, so that the water depth in the fishway is controlled, the flow speed of water flow in the fishway is kept stable, the fish migration requirement is met, and the fish passing effect is improved.
