The invention belongs to the technical field of high-fracture-toughness ceramics, and particularly relates to a high-fracture-toughness rare earth zirconate/rare earth aluminate eutectic thermal barrier coating material. The material only contains two components, namely RE2Zr2O7 and REAlO3, the molar ratio of RE2Zr2O7 to REAlO3 is 1/3-2/3, and RE is selected from La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb and Dy. TheRE2Zr2O7/REAlO3 material with a eutectic (including hypoeutectic and hypereutectic) structure has the excellent properties of high melting point, excellent sintering resistance, high strength, low thermal conductivity and the like, and the fracture toughness of the RE2Zr2O7/REAlO3 material is greatly improved and is improved by 40% compared with that of pure rare earth zirconate from 2Mpam<1/2> to 2.8 Mpam<1/2> or above.
