The invention provides an external wall insulation board fixing device for building construction. The device comprises a fixing plate, mounting supports and a clamping plate. The two adjacent sides ofthe fixing plate are fixedly connected with one ends of the two sets of mounting supports, a threaded hole is in threaded connection with the bottom of a control screw, and a control port is fixedlyformed in the side of the bottom end of the fixing plate. The top end of the inner wall of the control port is fixedly connected with the top ends of six sets of return springs, the bottom ends of thesix sets of return springs are fixedly connected with the top end of the clamping plate, the top of the control screw is sleeved with a control ring, and four sets of supporting rods are fixedly connected between the inner wall of the control ring and the outer wall of the top of the control screw.
