The device specifically comprises a top plate of an L-shaped structure and two base plates, supporting frames are fixedly mounted at the top ends of the two base plates, rectangular supporting pipes are slidably mounted at the top ends of the interiors of the supporting frames, movable frame mechanisms are fixedly mounted at thetop ends of the two rectangular supporting pipes, and obliquely-arranged buffer rod mechanisms are fixedly mounted in the movable frame mechanisms. A plurality of lifting baffle mechanisms are locatedabove each lane correspondingly, and when vehicles such as buses or fire fighting trucks are encountered, a control mechanism can drive the lifting baffle mechanisms to be lifted through electric push rods, so that the lifting baffle mechanisms are retracted into the top plate, and the traffic control height of a road is temporarily increased; the device is prevented from obstructing an air conditioning position of buses or rescue vehicles such as fire-fighting vehicles, and the functionality of the height limiting device is improved.
